Purple ish green with grey dusting. Inside is a bright purple and white tie-dyed display of curls! The red cabbage has a peppery and more intense flavor than green cabbage.
Put the whole head in a reusable plastic bag in the crisper of your refrigerator and it'll last a couple weeks. When the outter leaves get dry, leave them as they'll help keep the inner leaves crunchy and fresh. If you need to store a partial head of cabbage, cover it tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a day or two.
