This is one of the oldest apple varieties found in America! Loved for it's aromatic flavor and joy it brought to the settlers in the cold winter months (it was picked in October and stored for a couple of months to enhance flavor and texture). 

Can be yellow or green, depending on how much sunlight it received on the tree. Great for eating fresh, cooking, baking, juicing or for making hard cider!
