Zucchini is a mild tasting squash. Its texture is firm spongy that turns soft with the right cooking, supported by a delicate skin. There are floral notes and some sweetness, but it generally takes on the flavors that it is cooked with. It's often baked or grilled, but when diced can be sauteed as well.
