One in a Melon
Here in the states, we call those sweet, orange fleshed melons cantaloupes. However, they are not cantaloupes at all! They are actually called muskmelons. Muskmelons have that cool netting-like texture on their rinds, smell oh so sweet, and have that gorgeous orange flesh.

True cantaloupes hail from an old villa in Rome called Cantalupo. They often get confused with different winter squash varieties you might see at the Farmers Market because of their thick, warty exterior. Don't let that fool you! Their flavor is bright. Their consistency is juicy with just the right amount of firmness.

Pique your newly found curiosity with the variety of melons we have in our store!
