Kamayan Farm (WA)

CARNATION
The word kamayan is Tagalog for with hands and refers to the traditional Filipino style of eating food with your hands. It is a reminder of the intimate connection between ourselves and our food, the joy of a large meal cooked with love and shared with family, and survival of culture through food.

Our growing practices seek to create a diverse and thriving ecosystem that will support agriculture on our land for generations to come. We source non-GMO, organic seeds and ensure that all of our fertilizers are organic and contribute to the well-being of the soil. Based on the banks of the Snoqualmie River, we are grateful for the nutrient-rich floodwaters that enrich our soil nearly every season. To reduce erosion and create regeneration in the soil, we limit tillage and use cover crops like buckwheat, rye, and clover. As part of SnoValley Tilth's Experience Farming Project, we follow Certified Naturally Grown standards.
