CMFC started in 1978 and eventually evolved into a nonprofit in 2011. It's dedicated to building knowledge, experience, and community to expand dynamic local food systems. They act as a nursery, education/research center, and hub for all things related to responsible growing.
CMFC envisions a thriving, collaborative community in which regional agricultural business are prosperous and contribute to a healthy environment and the well-being of all citizens.
The farm serves the food system as a whole, by educating and empowering consumers, home gardeners, new and aspiring farmers, and existing commercial producers.
Located on a 42 acre production farm, orchard, and nursery provides an unparalleled learning environment and opportunity for applied research. The produce and fruit grown at Cloud Mountain is sold to local restaurants, at the Bellingham Farmers Market, and through the Puget Sound Food Hub.
