In business since 2005, Alex has been hunting mushrooms since he was a kid and eventually got a mycology degree from Evergreen State. He started growing fungi commercially in 2005 and has done so on natural woods grown in untreated forests and Organic grains.

Above all, Cascadia Mushrooms is dedicated to growing the best mushrooms possible using Organic growing practices. Fungi have the innate ability to cleanse soil and heal the environment. The goal of the farm is to nurture that ability, to teach it to others and hopefully to spark a little of the same inspiration that drives their work every day.
