Smoky Scamorza is a three-time Award winning signature Italian cheese aged on ropes, a technique used by artisans for hundreds of years, gives it the characteristic pear-shaped body, which is sure to stand out on any cheese plate. A relative of our Fior di Latte mozzarella, but with a bolder and more buttery flavor. We smoke our smoky scamorza with our in-house signature blend of apple and alder wood smoke. A homage to the Pacific Northwest. Great melted on hamburgers, grilled cheeses, and of course pizza!
For best shelf life, wrap in wax or parchment paper (like beeswax paper) and then put in a plast bag or wrap. If kept for a long time, you'll probably need to cut a slice off the outside as it's started to turn--though the inside is often still good! Replace or wash off the wax paper and plastic bag if that happens.
