Winesap apples are an old apple variety that has unknown origins! Spoooooky. Though it is thought to be from New Jersey in Colonial times (less spooky).

These apples have dark red skin with crisp, yellow flesh. Tastes great for fresh eating, baking, apple butter, and pies. Many say it is comparable to the Arkansas Black apple.
