A beautiful tear drop shaped squash that looks very similar to a pumpkin in color! The red kuri has a tender and smooth texture with a sweet and chestnut like flavor that goes great in soups, roasted with truffle oil, or with honey and balsamic!

This squash is all the rage in Japan, so much so that the local farmers cannot produce enough and they import squash from New Zealand and California to meet the demand. Kuri is a Japanese word for chestnut.
